As a former Amateur Boxer and an aspiring NY Entrepreneur, you learn early, life is gonna hand you some tough, losses and or lessons. In the NY outside culture or from our Caribbean Island, they going to let you know, them losses… I've had some real ones.

I lost everything at one point—my kids, my job, my car, no money… and living in a new state (California ).. nothing was going my way. That kind of loss will either break you or build you.

I could’ve stayed there…blamed life, stayed negative, kept a small mindset, doubt crept in , no lie. Wrestled with Gods purpose for me. It was a low spirit and low energy time, But I refused to take the ten count, and grinded out.

What kept me going was simple "mustard faith mindset"—I wasn’t going to give up. Culturally, Mentally and Physically we don't stop moving forward. Not so other people could write that down and out history… but so nobody could ever say I quit; not on my Faith(though tested), never on my daughter nor my sons or my new Blended family and especially my inner fight.

The Grind is 100% physical and 100% mental. 100% BELIEF GOD BUILT Us 4 THIS.

When I learned to own the iron, that I was being sharpened by, I realized those trials have turned to testimony. Because I’d rather people talk about me when I lose…than have them talk about me because I gave up. See, losses don’t define you—quitting does. Every loss I took, I learned. I adjusted. I got stronger. My attitude was of gratitude of trusting the process of growth.

Just like boxing… you take hits, you go through rounds, but you stay in the fight. AND if you stay in long enough—you find a way to win.

Look at me now, out of survival mode mindset; still growing don't let the facts fool you we all grow either 1% better moving forward, as we adapt to a purpose filled life.

I was a movement By myself alone, wrestling with those doubt demons and survival mode of flight fight freeze or sedate. I knew my purpose was on the other side of fear.{which is the most talked about thing in the good book}

Wife, mother, founder, and CFO — Coach J Flow is the queen of the KMF Sports Academy chessboard, whether she's in the front office or the courtroom.

"Dreams are just goals without a plan."

A 5-Tool Athlete

Coach J Flow brings extensive playing experience to the Academy as a true 5-tool softball athlete — a cannon arm, glove work that put the love in glove, speed, and the ability to hit for both average and power. She started at middle infield for CSU Dominguez Hills (D2), where grit and talent made her a top-of-the-lineup hitter. A 4-year varsity high school player, she also competed in the All-Area Code Games.

Whatever the pressure, Coach J Flow's game — and her game plan for the Academy — is clutch.

Beyond the Diamond

Her talents don't stop at the field. Coach J Flow is a singer-songwriter, a certified court reporter, and a chef in her own kitchen — the backbone of peace for the KMF Sports Academy family. Her late grandfather, a U.S. Marine, and her grandmother carried the resilience of the "Sin MiEdo" era — a spirit Coach J Flow has carried forward into everything she builds.

A Movement, Not Just a Brand

The merger of KMF Boxing Academy and KMF Baseball/Softball brings together two colliding forces — joined to create a movement, not just a brand. Off the field, the Flores family holds down a blended family of six: two daughters and four boys.

Coach Cruz is our second double-edged sword — a clinically trained counselor and a coach, in equal measure. His guiding philosophy: live the dream with mustard-seed faith.

From Head Start classrooms to college dugouts, Coach Cruz has built his career at the intersection of counseling and athletics. His passion is the wholistic development of young athletes — building the person as much as the player, on the field and off it.

An Epic Family Merger

Coach Cruz's SYSTEM Baseball/Softball program is now merging with Jeremy and Jessica Flores' KMF Boxing Academy, forming the KMF Sports Academy — a single home for baseball, softball, boxing, and fitness under one roof. Two disciplines, one mission: developing complete athletes with the character to match their talent, one step at a time.

A Student of the Game

With more than 25 years playing and coaching baseball and softball, Cruz has built a hybrid coaching approach as a true student of the game — coaching since 2006. Baseball, he says, is rich in relationship: he never imagined he'd be blessed with conversations about the game alongside big leaguers, college coaches, and the history that runs through it all. He learns from everyone, driven by a simple philosophy — strive to be 1% better every day.

That philosophy has carried him through respected travel ball programs and staffs, including:

• Nike Phenom (San Diego) under Keller

• Power Surge Softball, under skipper Paul Perez (Linfield Christian)

• Big City Sports, under Mo Rezkahla — Rancho Christian HS softball, Temecula, Skipper of the Year

A school counselor since 2013, Cruz has played and coached primarily across SoCal, Arizona, and Nevada — battling his way up from Freshman/Varsity ball at Hesperia Christian/HHS. He proudly represents:

• CA District 49 Alumni

• Victor Valley College Baseball Alumni

• Cal Lutheran University Baseball Alumni

A lefty hitter and a change-of-pace lefty pitcher, Cruz's game has always been about guile as much as gifts.

The Coaching Tree

Cruz competed and coached under a lineage of High Desert coaching greats — a coaching tree he carries with him into every practice:

• Coach Dave Renno (Biola) — Hesperia Christian School

• Gary Lewallen (Pirates)

• Lonnie Keeter (Padres)

• Buddy Coleman — Legion Ball, JV/Varsity/HS, and Victor Valley College

• Nate Lambden — VVC's all-time wins skipper, who led the Rams into battle against Bruce Bochy's High Desert Mavericks (Padres affiliate) in a 3-game series at Adelanto Stadium

At the collegiate level, Cruz played for D3 Hall of Fame skipper Martin "Slim" Slimak, alongside former CLU assistant and current Ohlone skipper Mike Curran. Playing at Sparky Anderson Stadium in Thousand Oaks was surreal in its own right — running into Sparky Anderson himself, skipper of the Big Red Machine, at practice on occasion (Cruz was born in 1976, the year of Sparky's second world championship).

His journeyman route also ran through the Baldwin Park leagues, alongside Aaron Magdaleno (Cleveland) and his brother, the late "Maggs" (Chicago's South Side) — six degrees of separation, and a pinch of baseball nostalgia from a life spent playing ball across California.

As a college volunteer coach, Cruz served under inaugural skipper Mike Scolinos at St. Katherine University in Encinitas, CA. And two of the most impactful coaches he's worked with came from the System Baseball College Wood Bat League out of San Diego: Rudy Rodriguez (Texas) and Rudy Jaramillo (Texas).

I specialize with reframing the battle of the 9 inches between the ears. It was said that Mental performance is 90% of the GAME and 10% physical. However after conversations with Barry Larkin and Eric "Boogie" Davis, its 100% mental and 100% Physical. WE KEEP MOVING FORWARD TO ACHIEVE THIS LEVEL FOR OUR ATHLETES
